Grinergy in their 16th annual Green Energy Excellent Company awards. The award is sponsored by the Korea Environment Corporation and the Korea Energy Economics Institute who screened Korea’s top Green companies and organizations.
The newspaper cites the transition from internal combustion engines to electrification is accelerating across various industries. At the forefront, Grinergy, the only mass-produced Lithium Carbonate (LTO) battery in Korea, is attracting attention as an alternative to overcome the limitations of existing Lithium-ion batteries.

The LTO battery as a product significantly improves cryogenic performance, lifespan, safety, and input/output capacity.
Grinergy's LTO battery can be charged and discharged even at minus 30 degrees Celsius, and it does not catch fire at temperatures up to 400 degrees Celsius, so it is recognized as a safe secondary battery.
There are only a handful of companies worldwide that mass-produced LTO batteries, including Japan's Toshiba. In applications the Grinergy LTO battery has a high degree of versatility in their use of a “pouch method” design. They, too, have been recognized for the quality control capabilities at their production facilities in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, not to mention Grinergy as business is a solution provider to a growing list of Korean and global customers.
Grinergy was established in 2017 by a team experts from global companies such as Hyundai Motor, Samsung Electronics, Tesla, and Apple with the ambition to contribute to the globalization of K-battery by expanding its supply capacity by 2024.
