LG Electronics plans to appeal to younger customers with a new line of high-end multimedia cell phones.
In Korea, LG CEO Park Mon-hwa said the company would focus on manufacturing state-of-the art multimedia cell phones, such as digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB), WCDMA/HSDPA and WiBro gadgets.
The new products (see photo) unveiled include a 360-degree rotation satellite DMB phone, a slide Bluetooth phone, an ultra-slim 5-megapixel digital camera phone, a 3D game phone, an MP3 music phone and a phone with an inbuilt breathalyzer, for the traffic policeman in all of us.
The satellite DMB phone has a power-saving chip allowing users to watch up to three hours of broadcasts and movies. It is also equipped with a 2-megapixel digital camera.
