Incheon Airport Continues to be Ranked #1

This is no surprise. Incheon Airport is hassle free. BTW I'm headed back to Seoul next week.

1. Incheon International Airport has been named 'Best Airport in the World' by respected business magazine Global Traveler for three years in a row.

In a survey conducted on airport service among some 31,000 readers, Incheon International Airport scored the highest, followed by Schiphol Airport in Holland, with Singapore's Changi Airport and Hong Kong's Chek Lap Kok taking third and fourth places, respectively.

The magazine, which has a circulation of approximately 100,000 copies worldwide, conducts an annual survey and awards the best airport, airline, hotel, and travel destination. The prize-giving ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on Jan. 15.

2. A leading travel news and ranking company has named Korea's Incheon International Airport best airport in the world.
The British-based Official Airline Guide or OAG, awarded the country's biggest airport the title at its 25th annual awards ceremony on Tuesday.

Incheon International beat out five other nominees including Dubai International Airport, New York's Kennedy International Airport and Singapore's Changi.

The OAG conducts yearly surveys on travelers around the world and selects the best airline and airport based on those surveys.

3. Incheon International Airport has been named "Best Airport Worldwide" for a third consecutive year in an annual airport service quality survey conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI).
According to Incheon International Airport and ACI, Incheon ranked the world's best by scoring top marks in 30 of 34 service factors. The service quality rankings are based on the results of nearly 200,000 questionnaires completed by passengers who used 99 major airports around the world in 2007.

Incheon also came in first place in 2005 and 2006, becoming the first airport to win the best worldwide award for three straight years. Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia and Singapore's Changi Airport ranked second and third, respectively.

ACI has conducted its airport service quality survey annually since 1993. Thirteen different awards are given to the top airports by region and size, with the best worldwide award a kind of grand prize.
